Universal College Bangladesh (UCB) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Switzerland-based food and beverage brand Nestlé Bangladesh.
This strategic partnership aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, offering exciting benefits to UCB students for their career and personal development. Following the agreement, UCB students will now gain access to a wide range of career prospects, including placement opportunities, internships, and specialised training programmes at Nestlé, which are tailored to enhance their skills and competencies.
This initiative reflects the commitment of both UCB and Nestlé Bangladesh to nurture young talents with proper market orientation and to prepare them for successful futures in the corporate world.
UCB students will also benefit from the invaluable resources provided by Nestlé through exclusive knowledge-sharing sessions, guest lectures, and career guidance. These programs are designed to enrich the students’ learning experiences, expose them to real-world challenges, and equip them with the necessary tools to thrive in the transforming global market.
Amit Prasad, chief operating officer of UCB, and Debabrata Roy Chowdhury, director – Legal, RSA, attended the MoU signing ceremony. High officials from both organisations were also present on the occasion. Amit Prasad, COO of UCB, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “We want to make sure our students are equipping themselves with the correct set of skills and shaping practical mindsets before they enter the competitive market as prospective resources.”
“We have previously ensured collaboration with different leading corporate entities in this regard, and now our partnership with Nestlé Bangladesh further strengthens the process. It shall bring remarkable opportunities for our students to accumulate invaluable industry exposure and hands-on experience to enrich their portfolios,” he added.
Debabrata Roy Chowdhury, director – legal, RSA, Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary of Nestlé Bangladesh, said “As UCB is the first international education provider in Bangladesh, it has given a golden opportunity to Bangladeshi students to pursue their higher education from world-class universities such as Monash University and London School of Economics, while being in their home country.”
